Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. M.V. Lysenko is one of the oldest musical theaters, the descendant of the best traditions of Ukrainian and world culture, whose history dates back to 1870. On his stage were F. Chaliapin and M. Battistini, A. Nezhdanova and L. Sobinov, N. Zabila-Vrubel, I. Alchevsky and other leading figures of performing arts. The repertoire is constantly replenished and now has more than 60 operas and ballets. The KNATOB is known as the Night of the Opera project and interactive backstage tours. Since 1991, the theater has been operating in a new building, where there are not only comfortable halls for spectators, but it is also accessible for people with disabilities.
