The temple in honor of the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is one of the most modern temples of the Dnieper, built in the beginning of the 21st century. The temple is built in the form of a Greek cross, crowned with the sculpture of John the Baptist, the author of which is the Odessa sculptor Nikolai Khudoley. The sculpture in height of 4.6 m is cast on the South Machine-Building Plant. In the basement of the building is the lower temple in honor of the Prophet Zechariah and the righteous Elizabeth. To the lower part of the temple is an adjoining Panton, equipped with a funeral, where residents can dive into the waters of the Dnieper on January 19 at the feast of the Baptism of the God.
