Drobitsky Yar – a tract on one of the outskirts of Kharkiv. Here, from the middle of December 1941 to the beginning of February 1942, about 15 thousand Kharkiv city dwellers, mostly Jews were shot. About this place, which became a fraternal grave for a huge number of civilians, a memorial complex was built, at the entrance to which there is a remarkable inscription: "This is a place where the dead are teaching the alive"
