According to legend, during the repair of a vegetable warehouse, the owners found the diary of a certain Mikhail (Misha) Blyakher, in which he wrote down the recipes of various simple dishes, and personal notes. So now the café features international cuisine with a slight emphasis to “Soviet nostalgia“, as well as dishes from a British chef.
The menu has a crispy egg and smoked chicken on the celery purée with truffle oil, gnocchi with herbs and cedar nuts, salad with smoked scomber, Black Sea horse-mackerels, trout smoked on black tea, dessert “Netiramisu“. The establishment has a good selection of tap beer.
The interior is decorated in the style of the post-war Soviet Union. The café has piles of books instead of walls, on the shelves are vintage radios, old lamps over the tables of the time, and a sideboard here serves for a bar counter.
