A town Hola Prystan is located in the Dnipro Delta , and next to it — a Bilohrudiv Island. You can reach it only by boat because of the wide Conca river that separates it from the land. The island is a home to around three hundred people and is a fishing village. By Cossack tradition, its inhabitants call each other not by names, but by nicknames. Tourists will find the life of the islanders somewhat exotic. The island has almost no cars and only dirt roads, but due to the small size of the area, which is about 40 square kilometers, the cars are not much needed. There are no fields and practically no gardens, however the residents do a lot of fishing, breeding cows, pigs, and poultry. In addition, the island has a number of different grasses, but their habitat is shrinking. The same is happening to the population of different species of fish.
