Dermansko-Ostrozky National Nature Park was established in 2009 in Zdolbuniv and Ostroh districts of Rivne region to protect the landscapes of Maly Polissya, Volyn and Podil uplands. It is located in the narrowest part of Maly Polissya - Ostroh Pass Valley, in the floodplain of the river Zbytynka, which flows between the picturesque hills of the Mizotsky ridge and Kremenets mountains. The diversity of the park's landscapes includes different types of forests, floodplain meadows and wetlands. The latter play a special role in preserving the biodiversity of the territory. The swamps in the park cover an area of 660 hectares and are located in the floodplain of the Zbytynka River. There are also open reservoirs here, among which - Novomalinsk reservoir. On the territory of the national nature park there are 2 ecological and educational trails, 2 tourist routes, where tourists will be able to get acquainted with natural complexes, flora and fauna, with the diversity of avifauna of the national park and historical and cultural heritage of the region.
